PROFILE OF HON. JUSTICE SOBERE BIAMBO
The Hon. Justice Sobere Biambo (KSC) is a judge of the High Court of Rivers State. He is a Nigerian citizen indigenous to Rivers State, and born in September of 1962 at Okrika.
Hon. Justice Biambo attended the Livingstone Academy, Ebute-Metta, Lagos for his primary education. He is proudly a product of Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borikiri, Port Harcourt. He graduated in 1986 with a second class division from the Rivers State University in law (LL.B) and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, where he obtained his Barrister-at-Law (BL) in October of 1987.
After national service in the then Bendel State, Hon. Justice Biambo returned to Port Harcourt to practice law privately with the law firm of J. O. Wachukwu & Company and later his own firm, the Legalsworth Chambers. While in practice, he took up appointment with the Rivers State School of Basic Studies as the coordinator of the law programme and foundation lecturer in the institution’s law programme.
Hon. Justice Biambo is a fellow of the Institute of the Chartered Institute of Administrators, a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the International Bar Association.
Hon. Justice Sobere Biambo is knighted a member of the Holy Order of St. Christopher (KSC) of the Anglican Communion of the Church of Nigeria.
He is happily married with children.
